God is with us!

Greetings everyone! Trust your Christmas was joyful and peaceful!

I really want this post to reflect how grateful I am to God for His faithfulness as the end of the year draws to an end. My heart is filled with thanksgiving as I acknowledge the goodness of God using the following scriptures.

“Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail” (Lamentations 3:22). God remains true and faithful even when we forget about him and even at times when we have given up on Him. God has not abandoned us, he has not left us to remain discouraged and without hope. In the senior years of my life, it’s been a challenge to keep good health in order to manage each day and the challenges they bring. But God, is our Good Shepherd and He has taken good care of us along the journeying of life. His presence with us has brought us this far by His mercy and grace. Therefore, no matter what is happening in my life now, or despite what the future may bring, I will hold up the words of Paul, “And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.” (Philippians 1:6)

In Samuel 22:20, King David launches out into a song of praise after the Lord delivered him from the hands of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. David says, “…He also brought me out into a broad place; He delivered me because He delighted in me.” God delivers us from fear, sickness and hopelessness. Listen to what Isaiah 33:21 says, “The LORD will be our Mighty One. He will be like a wide river of protection that no enemy can cross, that no enemy ship can sail upon.” Say “Amen” if you are still standing, if God has brought you across the rivers of difficulties that almost drowned us, yet, with God’s help we have crossed safely to the other side!

In closing, I feel that it is very fitting to end this post with Psalm 103:1-5:

“Bless the LORD, O my soul; all that is within me, bless His holy name.

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and do not forget all His kind deeds—

He who forgives all your iniquities and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the Pit, and crowns you with loving devotion and compassion, who satisfies you with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”

Let’s pray:

Father we thank you for Your Word. Thank you for being our rock and our fortress and our deliverer, the God of our strength in whom we trust. In Jesus Name, Amen.

God bless my friends!

Please leave a comment, and look forward to seeing you in the year 2021!

Thank you dear Lome, for these encouraging words! I also thank God for your friendship! We have known each other for 10 years now, and it seems like just yesterday, that we spent that beautiful week in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii celebrating YWAM’s 50th anniversary. May God continue to bless you with long life and continue to make you a blessing to so many others, as you have been, to us! Love you, dear friend, Linda & Gary Palmer
P.S. Gary woke up with an appetite yesterday, and ate breakfast, lunch and dinner. Hasn’t done that since he was sick. He had no pain in his stomach, either! To God be the glory! We will keep you updated!
